A PAC supporter who was severely tortured and assaulted by police in Ladybrand, OFS, while on his way from Lesotho to South Africa on 28 March 1963. Mr Potye was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment on Robben Island. After his release he was banished for two years to Cofimvaba, Transkei.
