Was severely beaten by Bophuthatswana Police on 5 January 1991 in Lekubu, Bophuthatswana, during a conflict between Chief Sebogodi and Edwin Moila. Chief Moila had imposed himself as the new Lekubu chief with the support of President Mangope. Moila also supported Lekubu’s incorporation into Bophuthatswana.
