Was detained for two weeks in Thaba Nchu, Bophuthatswana, in 1988 because the Bophuthatswana Special Branch believed he was an activist with information about the planning of the Bophuthatswana coup. In April 1990, Mr Siboto was detained at Mmabatho police station, held in solitary confinement and tortured.
