Was in the vicinity of a car bomb which exploded outside the NBS building in Witbank, Tvl, on 24 October 1988, causing her to faint. The building was used for commercial purposes, but also housed the Witbank Security Branch offices. Three people were killed and over 20 were injured, mainly civilians. Two MK operatives were granted amnesty for the bombing (AC/2000/055).
