An AWB and CP member who was arrested, assaulted and tortured by named members of the Security Branch in July 1990 in Johannesburg for his involvement in the activities of the Orde Boerevolk. He was released after embarking on a hunger strike for seventy six days. A commission of inquiry into these allegations was ordered by the then State President, FW De Klerk, and headed by Lt General Jaap Joubert. See Orde Boerevolk.
