Was shot dead when men in a car opened fire on a group watching a protest march in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on 25 October 1990. Ms Kwaza was six months pregnant. At least eight people were killed that day by police and supporters of the Lingelethu West Town Council, during and after a mass march to express community opposition to the council.
